VIRTIGATION took part in the Technology Talks Austria 2024 conference to showcase its latest project advances.
The Technology Talks Austria 2024
The Technology Talks Austria 2024 is an annual renowned technology conference that brings together key EU and national stakeholders in research, technology and innovation (RTI). The AIT Austrian Institute of Technology organised this year’s edition in Vienna from 12-13 September. 700+ stakeholders, from researchers, policymakers, industry to NGOs, discussed the future of RTI in the frame of this event. This year’s guiding theme was the so-called “Triple Transition”. The Triple Transition refers to the ongoing green, digital, and human-oriented transformation processes that our societies are undergoing.
The discussions focused in particular on how to strengthen Europe’s RTI capacities. Stakeholders also debated how to improve links between academia, industry and other key actors to enhance innovation capacities. They developed concrete strategies for action that will enable stakeholders to successfully overcome the challenges of the Triple Transition. This includes for example stronger RTI programmes, more enhanced cross-sector collaboration and less fragmentation among stakeholders.

The VIRTIGATION responsible for project communication, David Donnerer from RTDS Association, informed stakeholders attending the conference about recent progress made in the project. He also outlined the next steps for VIRTIGATION for the remaining year of its duration. Donnerer also provided an in-depth overview of VIRTIGATION and its high-potential, scalable results with significant impact for RTI in Europe. The project’s exhibition boost also showcased key VIRTIGATION materials, like the animation video and the flyer.
